what is VOIP and FOIP?

VOIP is the slogan which is spoken more in the internet community these days. What is it? What role it plays in our daily lives and our businesses? To get answers to these questions just spend 2 minutes to read the interesting facts given below.
VOIP means Voice over Internet Protocol. This is just a phone service that uses broadband for making a call. VOIP is also called as IP telephony and Internet telephony. You can save hundreds of thousands of dollars every month by reducing your home or business phone bills. A fax can also affect your life in many ways as VOIP does. A fax machine is pretty simple and you must insert a piece of paper with some information printed on it. Immediately the fax machine sends the information to the other fax machine i.e. the destination machine using your phone line.

Is it really possible to send faxes over VOIP? Yes, it can be done, and is known as FOIP. FOIP means fax over internet protocol. Technology has grown a lot and it has left us an option to send fax over internet protocol. However you may encounter some technical difficulties while arranging the setup so the entire arrangement should be done properly. The main technical difficulty that is faced during arrangement is due to faxes containing another kind of voice data. Another thing to be noted here is that the voice must be delivered in real time i.e. immediately to maintain a comprehensive conversation but a fax data cannot deliver that.
