Ventrilo Hosting is Critical to Your Gaming Experience
Ventrilo is a VOIP solution that is critical to keeping your gaming experience state-of-the-art. Of course, while ventrilo may be doing its job, the difficulty may be if you have ventrilo hosting solutions that are less than superior. In this article, we look at stable and reliable Ventrilo hosting solutions and how to achieve that at a reasonable price.
Ventrilo
Ventrilo is a trademark of Flagship Industries. Ventrilo is also the industry standard by which all others measure themselves. Many attempt to imitate its features but few have had success coming even close to the same level of performance.
Ventrilo exceeds the competition by offering surround sound positioning and special sound effects on a per user, per channel, per server or global configuration. In addition, the ventrilo program provides each user the option to fully customize exactly how they wish to hear sounds from other users or event
Hosting Considerations
When you are considering hosting solutions, keys things that you should keep in mind are stability, reliability, ease of installation, customer support, and of course, reasonable pricing. In addition, you should really be looking for a solution that has a powerful control panel to manage every aspect of your Ventrilo server.
In addition, you should recognize the different voice modes that your Ventrilo Server is capable of providing. So, for example, queued mode on a Ventrilo server allows only one person to talk at a time. By building in ease of use and total flexibility, you can totally control your Guild's user experience.
With some ventrilo host control panels, you have full control of the Ventrilo Server to make all needed changes including editing the ini files, start and stop and ventrilo tracker. Also if that wasn't good enough, some also offer a Ventrilo Control Panel allowing you to make all needed configuration changes. Honestly, probably the two most important things to you are going to be easy of use and setup with the control panel as well as 24/7/365 quality support.
Pricing for ventrilo server hosting is all over the map but let me give you a rough target. For 50 slots, you can get your pricing down to 15.99 per month, which if you do the math, comes out to a whopping $0.32 per slot, per month: in our mind, that is truly oustanding capability at an excellent price.
Servers
Many Ventrilo server hosts have one or two locations, which may be a bit limited for your needs.... remember, the closer you are located to your host server, the better your gaming experience is likely to be. Also, be careful. Sometimes you'll be forced to low fidelity by the limitations of the ventrilo server, in which case it's time to go elsewhere to find a different host.... believe me, saving a few bucks does not make it worthwhile if your game experience is lousy.
So to conclude, a quality ventrilo server can really make all the difference in your gaming performance. Simply start out by finding a good quality host, with a good control panel, with good bandwidth, and with good customer support. When you find that source, you are in for a trouble free, gaming experience.

VoIP Solution: A Means of Modern Day Telecommunications
VoIP Solution: A Means of Modern Day Telecommunications
by Kristen Kiya
VoIP Solution is a new method by which one can accrue the benefits of low cost telephony in a world that is modernising and endeavouring to grow faster than ever before. This concept has revolutionised telephony as VoIP solutions now provide an incredibly cost efficient means of terminating calls as compared to the older methods of call making.
The VoIP solutions now have a dominating influence on the corporate world. Business houses practically cannot survive without the services of the providers. This has enlarged the sphere of IP telephony and moved it to places that could never have been imagined before. The voice quality and termination services remain the same as that of the traditional PSTN phone lines. In fact, these advanced solutions allow the users to makes local calls, long distance calls and even international calls at a price that is much cheaper than that of the traditional method of connectivity.
Packet Switching Technique is brought to use in order to connect the users from one place to another. The method is based on digitising voice signals into compressed IP packets. This system is one of the cheapest ways of transferring files to other domains. A high speed internet connection is required in order to send files to these domains. The internet is used to transfer data, videos and pictures in compressed forms for the receivers at the other end. These files have to pass through a process where things have to be converted to a digital form. It is then only that the successful transfer of calls is possible over the internet connections. Once the compressed data reaches the receiver at the other end, the the digital form is once again reconverted to the analogue form in order to retrieve voice to its original format. These technological requirements have led to the emergence of many a VoIP solution provider in the guise of resellers.
A reseller is a hosted VoIP solution provider that provides services after leasing services from the higher Tier carriers or Wholesalers. This has led to the growth and proliferation of these services. The service providers offer services that are bundled up in the form of call forwarding, call waiting, call conferencing and 3-way calling. The service providers relentlessly strive to give services to the customers in a 24 x 7 shift basis. The customers also have the freedom to approach them at any hour. There is the freedom to relocate as the contact centers generally have their branches dispersed in various parts of the world. This provides the user the opportunity to avail VoIP services even while roaming in any other country apart from his own.
To conclude, it can be said that the VoIP solutions are fast turning out to be one of the most preferred choices in telecommunications.

Voice over IP is the process of an IP network to carry telephone voice signals as IP packets over the internet or other data networks. IP packets are small packets of digital bits of information which are routed through the Internet infrastructure. The bit sequence of the packet (field structure) usually is arranged to convey the destination address in addition to the data that is already being transported along with other data such as the packet originator and error protection bits.
To implement a VoIP Solution all you need is a microphone for instant free voice communication in a chat room. By uniting the traditional phone system and the advanced communication capabilities of using a single data network for all communications, it is possible to reduce overall costs of communication for end users.
VoIP solutions can be utilized anywhere a broadband modem is connected to the Internet, or with the combination of a wireless network card, it may be connected over a wireless local area network. A wireless enabled device can access the Internet any time it has access to network signal.
This type of technology determines the proper system that will be used for a communication session, automatically sets the relevant parameters of the communication at both ends of the transmission and then manages call transfer and call termination. In addition, SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) allows users to initiate and receive communication from any location, networks are also capable to identify users, wherever they are. The information packets are transmitted over any open line rather than a dedicated line making communication much more effective.
The mass amount of simultaneous communications can be significantly expanded using packet switching over circuit switching. VoIP is a cutting edge technology that has the potential to completely redesign the entire world's communication infrastructure. The benefits of Wireless VoIP over cellular connections has lead the majority of interest in this method of communication thus far.

VOIP - What is it, and will it really save me money?
VOIP - What is it, and will it really save me money?
by Rob Parker
Whether in a business or personal context, odds are good that you have heard of VOIP. The idea of VOIP is very appealing and many companies suggest that using this technology will save you money. In this article we take a look at what exactly VOIP is, and whether or not it will actually save a person money.
VOIP defined
VOIP is an acronym that stands for voice over internet protocol. Like a lot of these terms, it is fairly easy to understand if you add a few more words to the short hand; in this case, it seems more straightforward to refer to it as voice transmitted over the Internet. In effect, this is exactly what VOIP is; the use of the Internet to transmit voice in the same way you would use a telephone.
If one looks at the advancements in technology over the last ten years, VOIP and its widespread usage seem fairly inevitable. In fact, some of the advantages of VOIP are probably obvious right away; there is a great potential to do away with costly phone services, including long distance charges, in the near future. This is exactly what companies are marketing today, trying to persuade companies and individuals to use this service, but will it really save you money?
The answer
In our opinion, VOIP has a vast potential for saving the user money, although in many cases this potential is not realized. For example, one wonders why, when VOIP technology is offered for free by companies such as Skype, companies would try to sell this service at all. In fact most computer users with a headset have been taking advantage of this technology for several years, most of the time for free. So if you have to pay an additional cost for your VOIP service, it's probably not worth it.
Additionally, VOIP has not yet reached a stage where users can do away with their landlines and the contingent costs for good. For one thing, emergency VOIP calls are unreliable and 911 still needs to be used over a landline. For another, there are often delays in transmitting VOIP messages, delays that can be frustrating and may lead to confusion, particularly in the business environment. If you hold to the adage that time is money, then VOIP may cost you more than your phone line (which at any rate, you probably will have to keep paying for).
In conclusion, we will say that when VOIP has advanced sufficiently, it will have the potential to save individuals and businesses money. However, as with anything else, it is likely that the companies running the phone lines and other communication mediums will charge according to the demand for the service, so it's not likely that a good VOIP program will always be available at a price lower than that of a modern phone line.

A Look into VoIP and Its Services
A Look into VoIP and Its Services
by Kristen Kiya
Traditional public switch telephony network along with PBX has taken a back seat with the advent of VoIP telephony services. It is not a hidden fact that the popularity and dependency on VoIP services has been increasing over a period of time, and it does not seem like this is going to change anytime soon. In fact, several researchers of the telecommunication field have pointed out, and rightly so, that in the near future, the entire communication structure would come to rely upon Voice over IP services. It is thus essential to understand how this technology works, in what way can residentials and businesses benefit from it and what are its disadvantages, if any.
How VoIP Works?
Voice over Internet Protocol is a mode of transmitting voice over the Internet by converting it into small digital IP packets from analog signals, so that it could be understood by the computer. The voice is decompressed and reconverted into analog signals before it finally reaches the receiver.
Equipments That Are Needed For Utilizing VoIP Solution:
A residential client would only need a computer or a SIP phone, a sound card, headsets, and an Internet connection in order to make VoIP calls. From the back-end side, all the technical equipments that are required for utilizing VoIP services are owned and maintained by the VoIP service providers. Wholesalers of VoIP procure VoIP minutes from service providers in bulk and then further sell them to resellers. VoIP Wholesale carrier service providers have their own network consisting of equipments like gateways, routers etc. VoIP resellers do not have to make any substantial capital investment for venturing into the voice over IP telephony field. The entire technical part of VoIP services is handled by the providers or wholesalers.
Functionality of VoIP:
1. It is the most cost-effective way of making local, long distance and international calls even while getting the same voice quality as with the traditional mode of calling. 2. It helps in unifying the communication structure of an organization, thereby increasing the productivity along with it. 3. It is mobile. One can take it anywhere along with them and still be able to make calls at the same reduced rates. Not only this, but all the calls will automatically be routed directly to your VoIP number, irrespective of the network from where you are connected to the Internet. 4. VoIP service providers offer other service features free of cost which PSTN providers normally charge for. For instance, call forwarding and call waiting. They increase your businesses functionality. 5. It is easy to integrate your existing services with business VoIP.
The only negative aspect which had hampered the growth of VoIP services the time it was invented is its poor voice quality. However, with time, several improvements have been made as a result of which VoIP solution gives us the same voice quality as with any traditional PSTN service.
