Highspeed VoIP Reseller Program – As Good As It Sounds

Highspeed VoIP Reseller Program – As Good As It Sounds

One must remember that the utilities for the internet are limitless. The use of the internet is not restricted to searching for information, keeping in touch with others through email, chat or instant messages or for interacting with a social network. An even better utility of the internet is that it has helped many a person get an income by generating many avenues that can be tapped sitting at home. Even many employed people these days are not satisfied with their income from their regular job and are looking out for ways to increase their income. People without a regular job are also constantly on the lookout to help them meet their expenses. The internet has created many avenues for such people that can be conveniently taken up to substantially boost up their income. One such avenue is a ‘reseller program'. These programs can be taken up by anybody as long as they know how to go about it. Being a reseller is quite simple. As a reseller, your role is to be a retailer for the company you choose. There are several companies providing reseller programs and you need to find the apt one for you. There are different products for you to choose from and one such is the new wave in technology called Voice over Internet Protocol or VoIP. Many people are becoming increasingly aware of this relatively new communication tool. People who are subscribing for VoIP are able to make any number of calls by having an internet connection. Being cheap to use has caught the attention of many subscribers all over the world. This has created a flurry of many service providers for VoIP. Many of these service providers are providing reseller programs and you can choose one who has the best reputation in the field. By providing reseller programs, the service providers can help cut down some operational costs. Some amount is paid out to the resellers for their efforts. But, if you are trying to become a reseller for VoIP, you need to understand the ins and outs of the field. Resellers will need to have a website of their own but sometimes it is given by the service providers. This has to have all the relevant information in order to be able to sell the service of the provider. Your job as the reseller will be to get personal details about potential clients who come looking for information about VoIP in your website. But, the task of providing the service will be left to the actual service provider. While some providers of VoIP will be offering their program for free there are others who request for a membership. So, you need to research well before you decide which provider is the best to join up for a reseller program. The internet has helped many people earn a living from the confines of their own homes. A high speed internet has many benefits attached to it. You require such a connection to be able to have VoIP functioning effectively. If you are getting into reseller programs for a VoIP service provider, you can try the service yourself to see how good the provider is. A reseller is not a direct employee of the service provider. He/ she is like an independent businessperson and will work according to their own means and conveniences. The income generated by the resellers is directly related to the number of people who have signed up for subscription through the reseller. So, the reseller should have a very good website in order to bring in more potential customers. Affiliate marketing is another avenue the internet offers to earn an income from home. This is dissimilar to reseller programs and is even more popular. But, people can gain an income from any of these avenues the internet provides. Resellers too can earn a good income if they have tied up with a proven VoIP service provider and have created an excellent website and know in depth about the field of VoIP and know how to entice potential customers and convert them into believers. Resellers cannot survive without the support of the service providers. Service providers can help out the resellers by extending good support in creating a good website for the reseller and aid them in their marketing efforts. If you are one looking at the internet to generate a good monthly income from the comforts of your home, reseller program is a good avenue to venture into. You can begin your journey by reading up more about reseller programs. Understand what reseller programs are and how they function. Next, do your homework and search for a good service provider. Use the services of a good web hosting company in building up your website. Try to learn means and methods by which you can get in more web traffic to your site and soon you will be able to earn a handsome amount of money all from the confines of your own home.

VoIP: The Choice of Practical Entrepreneurs

VoIP: The Choice of Practical Entrepreneurs

Communication is key to running a successful business venture. An organization which has an effective communication channel in place runs like a well-oiled machine – efficiently meeting clients' needs as well as the challenges that will crop up along the way. This it accomplishes by ensuring that right information cascades to the appropriate employees. Open communication lines between you and your customers, suppliers and business partners are likewise important. Listening and talking to the people who help drive your company to success with their patronage and services are facets of your enterprise that should never be ignored. These individuals will provide you with feedback necessary for your company to continuously grow as well as respond to the market's ever changing needs. Now that you know the importance of communication in an enterprise, you wonder how you can create such an enviable system. The answer lies in choosing the right platform for your telecommunication needs. Telephones, mobile phones, fax machines, the Internet are systems and machines ever-present in offices across the globe. A few years ago, a new phone system has been gaining the attention of entrepreneurs everywhere. The VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol), a sophisticated, highly efficient and cost effective tool of phone communications is now the current rage among business people who are looking to streamline their expenses without compromising quality. Just like your regular telephone, but... VoIP works like your regular phone and mobile phone units, only it relies on high-speed broadband Internet connection in transmitting and receiving data (voice, in this case). The wider coverage of Internet nowadays as well as the reliability of the system in terms of transmitting data makes VoIP a practical choice for entrepreneurs. What seals the deal for business people is the fact that VoIP is probably one of the most cost-effective business communication solutions available today. Most VoIP service providers charge voice call rates at costs 40 to 60 percent lower than the traditional voice calls. This means that if you are maintaining five different telephone lines and your average bill for each line is about $300, you save as much as $180 for each VoIP connection. Some service providers do not even charge you anything. Other benefits of VoIP system: It contains built-in functions useful for your communication needs, such as voice mail, call routing, and call waiting. Most of these call features are also available in regular telephone lines but with additional cost. With the VoIP package, these are offered for free. VoIP is flexible, giving you the power to adjust the system as the need arises. For instance, if you need more VoIP lines, you do not have to reapply for another line (which is the case with telephone and mobile phone lines). Instead, you only need to upgrade your existing VoIP subscription for a minimal cost. Lastly, VoIP is easy to use. As many businessmen have come to realize, VoIP is an effective communication solution that will help you maintain a harmonious relationship within and outside your corporate organization.

Things to Consider When Selecting a VoIP Phone Provider

Things to Consider When Selecting a VoIP Phone Provider

The following are very important factors to consider when you are selecting a VoIP/Broadband phone provider. Educate yourself and be informed before you choose.

Monthly costs: A VoIP provider can save you up to 75% or more on your telephone/long distance expenses. There are many VoIP providers out there so it will benefit you from shopping around. Unlimited flat rate calling packages can range from $19.95/month to as high as $54.95/month (per line). Usually the lower priced providers have more customers and are able to offer the service at a lower price due to a lower overhead per subscriber.

VoIP Product Features: Not all VoIP providers are created equal. VoIP offers a great value to the consumers because of the drastically reduced long distance costs as well as inexpensive local phone service with lots of enhanced features. Some providers offer more features than others. Features like Call Waiting, 3 Way Calling, etc. are usually included in the VoIP monthly cost where as the traditional phone companies will charge up to and above $5/month per feature. When shopping for a VoIP provider, be sure to compare VoIP providers by features as well as by monthly price.

Keeping Your Number: Some providers allow you to transfer (port) your current phone number to the VoIP service and some providers do not. It is not recommended to switch your home number to the VoIP service immediately. It is recommended that you try out the service and see if you are satisfied before you request that your current number be switched. Keep in mind that if you have DSL service, you must retain a phone number with the service provider of the DSL because the DSL service is provided over that telephone line. If you want to get rid of your current phone company all together, then we suggest you use a Cable Internet Service Provider.

911 Service: Most of the VoIP carriers offer E911 service, but not all. Be sure to check if the VoIP provider offers E911 because it is not a given. If the VoIP provider does not offer E911, then we suggest that you either have a cell phone or traditional landline to use in case of an emergency. (Note: It is also important to point out that if you take your VoIP phone when traveling, E911 has no way of knowing where you are when you call 911 if you are away from the registered address.)

International Calling: If you make a lot of international calls, you will want to do a lot of research on International Rates as they vary by provider. There are a few carriers that offer unlimited calling to certain countries.

Money Back Guarantee: Since VoIP is a relatively new product; most all VoIP providers will offer a free money back guarantee. Be sure to check with each provider as we have seen the money back guarantees range from a 14-day to a 30-day money back guarantee. (Note: Be sure to keep the original packaging that your equipment came in just in case you need to send it back)

This is only a short list. In fact, there are many things to consider when choosing a VoIP provider. An educated consumer generally results in a satisfied consumer. Hopefully, the above list is somewhat helpful....and at least gives you a foundation to start your search from.

CNet has an excellent extensive comparison and review of a number of different VOIP carriers. It's from a May 2004 article so it's obviously a bit outdated (e.g. Packet8 has E911 now.....Broadvox has implemented the "to come" features).....but still provides some good info and resources about BroadBand Phones.

CNet Internet Phones

DSLreports.com has a fact filled table updated every week from reviews shared by that Forums members (Telcom industry pros/experts/users/management/sales):

DSLreports.com

The folks at DSLreports.com are pretty picky & opinionated sometimes but it will give you some interesting insights. Note that providers are only listed if a review has been submitted. So a vendor you may be looking for may not be on the list.

They also have a pretty active VoIP discussion board where you can get unedited non-PC opinions (PC politically correct....not PC personal computer LOL), breaking news good and bad, and the opportunity to ask about use and installation at:

VoIP Forum

You should also look over the info at the FCC website (Federal Communications Commission). Besides the expected legal stuff you can see what the Feds think consumers should receive from VoIP vendors as well as some info on set-up and use:

I have a bunch of resources which will help you choose and understand VoIP phones at my blog BroadBand Nation. Be sure to click all the links and look over the article archive too.

Personally I'm partial to Packet8.....especially for business use (VoIP video phone, Virtual Office hosted PBX). But that's just me.

VoIP: The Future of Telecommunications

VoIP: The Future of Telecommunications

by Peter Garant

Of the numerous technologies that have been developed for Internet use, none is as practical or innovative as Voice Over Internet Protocol, or VoIP. Even at this early stage, it is already well on its way to modifying the entire industry.

What is VoIP?

In simple terms, VoIP means that instead of using your telephone to make a call, a VoIP service provider will install some equipment in your computer that will allow you to call using your existing Internet connection.

Benefits of VoIP

There are several reasons why people are turning to this technology, and foremost is that it is much cheaper compared with traditional phones, both landline and cellular. The rates, for both local and international calls, are also significantly reduced.

The other advantage is that it allows you to use your phone number regardless of where you are in the world. As an example; an executive in New York who is on a business trip in Vienna only has to bring his VoIP adapter with him and plug it in a PC in the hotel room; now he can call using his own phone. This not just lowers the cost, but also saves him from incurring any additional bills from the hotel.

The VoIP Process

This is how VoIP works; you contact a service provider, and they will give you an adapter. You, or a technician can place the adapter on your telephone. If you prefer, you can link all the phones in your residence so that they are all VoIP enabled. The best thing is that there is no need to upgrade your phones. Just put in the adapter, and you can start using it.

Almost all VoIP service providers also provide the functions that traditional phones do, such as caller ID, voice mail, three way calling, repeat dialing, forwarding etc. The only difference is that with VoIP the costs are reduced.

Some even provide toll free numbers, fax service and options for linking up your laptop so it can be used with VoIP. Reduced Cost for Businesses

For businessmen, the gains from using this technology are enormous. By using the Internet to make all phone calls, there will no longer be any need for subscribing to a costly telephone service. For ordinary telephone users, the savings can go up to hundreds of dollars; for companies it will result in savings of thousands of dollars. If you are running a multinational company, integrating the entire phone system so that every office uses VoIP, then the savings would be even more.

The money saved here could be used for other projects, leading to greater productivity and increased profits.

International Calls

Almost all phone companies charge overseas calls on a per minute basis, and it is often prohibitive, cost wise. There is no need to put up with that anymore, because VoIP offers the same service without the high cost. Other features of VoIP are the capability to save voice messages in WAV format, making it easier than ever to deliver them as one would an ordinary email.

VoIP
